Contents
The function and structure of Operating Systems will be discussed. Attention will
be given to the principles which are used to organize the distribution and the control of
the parts of a computer system in such a way, that on the one hand the (often expensive)
hardware is used as efficiently as possible, but on the other hand the user interface is
as friendly as possible.
